Wake early, fly to Vietnam. Meet guide (Qûan, pronounced "Wung") at airport. Straight to lunch, then tour HCMC. War Remnants Museum, Reunification Palace. Lacquer workshop, post office & Cathedral. Check into hotel (Empress Hotel – dirty floor, bed bugs, wacky stairs, no hallway A/C), rest a while. Walk to restaurant (too much food, hovering). Walk around town a little, sleep.
