Pack, eat breakfast, check out. Start driving – stop at old man's 500-year old house on way to Hanging Monastery. Climb to top of dam. Drive to restaurant for lunch. Drive to Wooden Pagoda. Return to Datong – drop off at Shinhua Monastery. (Kevin stays with us.) Tour monastery & 5-dragon screen. Walk to 9-dragon screen. Say goodbye to Kevin. Go to internet cafe. Walk around town a bit looking for phone card. Eat dinner at noodle restaurant. Taxi to hotel. Call Andrew Hemm. Sit in hotel cafe playing cards (BS, memory, war, memory war). Meet Kevin & transfer to train station. Talk for a while, board train, sleep.
