Simple breakfast. Rent bikes. Sue-crash (low traction). Ride to Temple of Heaven. Walk around ToH park & buildings. Bike to old city wall park, then through Foreign Legation District. Accidentally bike too far west – park by shopping mall & eat lunch. Bike east & north to drum & bell towers. Enter drum tower just before closing (4:40). Guard rushing us off balcony but watch drum performance before leaving. Walk around a little more, then bike back & return bikes. Shower. Subway to Tibetan restaurant (from Lonely Planet). Wander (off by 90 degrees). Raw yak, spinach paneer, bread, mutton ribs, pineapple & cheese. Singing & dancing. Return to hotel.
